2001 -- Last spring as a true freshman, Jackson scored at the Pac-10 meet, placing fourth in the long jump (23-9.50) and also finished 11th in the triple jump (45-7) ... Season-best of 24-4.25 (team leader) in the long jump and personal-best 47-0.25 in the triple jump.
High School-- Earned All-League, All-CIF, All-State and Masters honors...Personal best of 24-5 3/4 in the long jump ranked him ninth on the 2000 U.S. High School list...Won the long jump at the CIF Masters meet with 24-1 and California State meet with 24-4 1/4... Prep bests are 24-5 3/4 (LJ), 44-7 (TJ) and 38.50 (300mH).
Personal-- Born March 7, 1982...Cousin Rashidi Barnes is a member of the Cleveland Browns and brother Ralph Blanks played football at Cal Berkeley...Pre-economics/business major.
